Over 200 canines discovered lifeless in 3 days in Bengal city triggering panic

Over 200 stray canines have died within the final three days in Bishnupur city in West Bengal’s Bankura district, triggering panic among the many individuals, officers
stated on Friday. While 60 canines died on Tuesday, 97 had been discovered lifeless on Wednesday and 45 on Thursday, they stated.
Bishnupur’s civic physique chief Divyendu Bandyopadhyay stated the matter has been knowledgeable to the district authorities.

Samples have been collected from the lifeless canines and despatched to Kolkata for testing, officers stated.
Veterinarians stated that they think the deaths to be brought on by a viral an infection, which is widespread throughout this time amongst canines, and urged individuals to not panic as there aren’t any possibilities of transmission to people or different animals.
The carcasses are being buried on the dumping floor by the Bishnupur Municipality, officers stated.
