AWANTIPORA (Jammu and Kashmir): One terrorist has been killed in an encounter that broke out between safety forces and terrorists within the Tral space of Awantipora district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, mentioned police.
“Awantipora Encounter Update: 01 terrorist killed. Operation in progress. Further details shall follow,” the Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
The encounter started earlier in the present day between safety forces and terrorists within the Tral space of Awantipora district. Further particulars are awaited.
Earlier on Monday, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police in a joint operation apprehended a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist within the Ladoora space of Rafiabad, Sopore.
