No remark: India on political turmoil in Pakistan

NEW DELHI: India on Thursday declined to touch upon the political turmoil in Pakistan saying it’s an “internal matter” of that nation however famous that it’s keeping track of the developments in Islamabad.

“It is their internal matter. I do not have any comment to make on this. We are keeping an eye on it but we do not comment on internal matters (of any country),” External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi mentioned.

At a media briefing, he was requested to touch upon the political developments in Islamabad.

Pakistan witnessed political upheaval after the deputy speaker of the nation’s parliament on Sunday blocked a no-confidence movement towards beleaguered Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Subsequently, Pakistan President Arif Alvi dissolved the parliament to pave the best way for the holding of early elections.

Pakistan’s opposition events have approached the Supreme Court difficult the deputy speaker’s choice to dismiss the no-confidence movement towards Khan.

The court docket is but to pronounce its verdict on the problem.
