KOLKATA: A nine-year-old boy was injured in a crude bomb explosion in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district on Sunday, police stated.
The boy, a category 4 pupil was injured in Basirhat block 2 when he mistook a crude bomb mendacity within the area near his home to be a ball and touched it, they stated.
He was rushed to an area hospital in Basirhat however as his situation deteriorated he was referred to R G Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
Police stated that on receiving details about the blast, a group rushed to the spot and is finishing up an investigation.
The boy’s proper hand was injured within the explosion, medical doctors stated.
