NHAI debars 2 contractors after lapses

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has debarred two of its main contractors after lapses have been discovered within the high quality of building in present and ongoing initiatives.
On Thursday, it declared Gayatri Projects a “non-performer” after it discovered defects within the ongoing building of the four-laning of Sultanpur to Varanasi in UP.
On Wednesday, it debarred Lion Engineering Consultants in affiliation with Synergy Engineering Group for six months as they didn’t carry out their duties whereas delivering companies for the mission in addition to executing provisions made within the contract settlement for the four-laning of Barhi-Hazaribagh part in Jharkhand.

In each instances, the replies to the NHAI’s show-cause discover, served earlier, have been discovered to be unsatisfactory. NHAI officers stated that this sends out a troublesome message to all of the contractors engaged in all its initiatives throughout India.
