NEW DELHI: The three-member fact-finding group, which can probe Kerala ‘innerwear’ incident, will submit its report in 4 weeks, the National Testing Agency (NTA) officers mentioned.

The three committee members are Dr Sadhana Parashar, senior director, NTA; Shylaja O R, Principal, Saraswathi Vidyalaya Arappura Vattiyoorkavu, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and Suchitra Shyjinth, Pragati Academy, Perumbavoor Ernakulam.

According to NTA, the committee members will go to the spot and confirm the details after speaking to all involved individuals, together with the woman college students, who had been compelled to take away their innerwear earlier than taking the NEET examination on Sunday.

One of the candidates’ fathers lodged a police criticism, following which 5 ladies, who had been concerned within the frisking and forcing women to take away their innerwear, had been arrested Tuesday.

The committee will even confirm the safety/frisking protocols of NTA, as detailed in its info bulletin on ‘barred items and dress code’ and NTA NEET(UG)-2022 tips for metropolis coordinators, centre superintendents, observers and invigilators had been adopted.

NTA mentioned that the committee would give obligatory suggestions.

“The Committee will submit its report in 4 weeks,” officers mentioned.

NTA, which had earlier denied that the incident had occurred and dismissed the allegation as fictitious, introduced a fact-finding committee following instructions from Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who obtained many representatives from Kerala on Tuesday.

The National Commission for Women (NCW), which described the incident as “shameful and outrageous” to the modesty of the younger women, requested the NTA  to conduct an “independent inquiry into the allegations levelled by the girl students and to take appropriate action by law against the responsible.”
