Nagpur man duped of Rs 21 lakh with promise to safe MBBS admission

NAGPUR: A Nagpur resident was allegedly cheated of Rs 21 lakh by 4 individuals by providing to safe admission to medical school for his daughter, police stated on Saturday.

The accused are primarily based in Pune, stated an official of Ajni police station, including that no arrest has been made to date.

Rajesh Lanjewar (51), who’s a instructor, acquired a textual content message three months in the past which provided to facilitate MBBS admissions, he informed police.

When he contacted the accused, they requested him to pay Rs 21 lakh for a seat in a medical school for his daughter in Nashik or Jalgaon.

Later the accused informed him that they may not safe admission, the grievance stated.

Police have registered a case of dishonest beneath IPC part 420 and probe is on, the official stated.
