Muslim lady returns after marriage to Hindu youth, denies abduction

A 19-year-old Muslim lady, who went lacking in Auraiya together with a Hindu youth in October, has returned residence and denied allegations that she was kidnapped by him, as alleged by her members of the family, police stated on Wednesday.
She advised the police that she went away on her personal and obtained married to the 20-year-old Hindu youth, who ran a cellphone store, final month at an Arya Samaj temple in Delhi, stated sub-inspector of Ayana police station Devi Sahay Verma. However, in her assertion recorded earlier than the Justice of the Peace, she has stated she’s going to reside with the person provided that he converts to Islam.
“In her statement before the magistrate, she said she had gone on her own. She also said that if the youth converts to Islam, she is ready to go with him otherwise she will live with her parents,” stated Additional Superintendent of Police, Auraiya, Kamlesh Kumar Dixit.
The police officer stated the lady, who confirmed up at a police station in Auraiya alongside along with her companion on Monday, returned to her dad and mom on Wednesday.
Sub-inspector Devi Sahay stated the lady’s brother approached the police on October 12, alleging that his sister had been kidnapped by the Hindu man the day past. He additionally complained that his sister had taken away Rs 80,000 money and jewelry alongside along with her on the behest of the person. Following this, an FIR was lodged underneath IPC Section 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing lady to compel her marriage).

With the lady denying that she had been kidnapped, Auraiya SP Aparna Gautam stated the police will now study her assertion to the Justice of the Peace earlier than deciding on the subsequent plan of action within the case.
