Mumbai court docket dismisses Kangana’s plea over Akhtar defamation swimsuit

Ranaut later sought cancellation of the warrant earlier than the Justice of the Peace.
The court docket on March 25 cancelled the warrant after Ranaut furnished a money bail of Rs 20,000 and a surety of Rs 15,000.
In his grievance, Akhtar claimed that Ranaut had made defamatory feedback in opposition to him in an interview by dragging his identify whereas referring to a “coterie” present in Bollywood, following the dying of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June final 12 months.

The Justice of the Peace had directed the Mumbai police to hold out a preliminary probe into the grievance.
In February, the police submitted a report back to the court docket saying an offence of defamation was made out in opposition to Ranaut.
