On March 1, Justice of the Peace R R Khan had issued a bailable warrant in opposition to Ranaut after she failed to look earlier than the court docket as per earlier instructions.
Ranaut later sought cancellation of the warrant earlier than the Justice of the Peace.
The court docket on March 25 cancelled the warrant after Ranaut furnished a money bail of Rs 20,000 and a surety of Rs 15,000.
In his grievance, Akhtar claimed that Ranaut had made defamatory feedback in opposition to him in an interview by dragging his identify whereas referring to a “coterie” present in Bollywood, following the dying of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June final 12 months.

The Justice of the Peace had directed the Mumbai police to hold out a preliminary probe into the grievance.
