MP: Govind Singh replaces Kamal Nath as Leader of Opposition

BHOPAL: Senior Congress chief Dr Govind Singh has changed Kamal Nath as chief of opposition within the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, an official stated on Tuesday.

Former MP chief minister and Congress veteran Kamal Nath final week resigned from the put up of LoP as per the celebration’s ‘one person-one put up’ coverage. Later, seven-time MLA Govind Singh was appointed chief of the Congress Legislature Party within the state.

MP Assembly’s principal secretary A P Singh on Monday issued the notification to appoint Govind Singh because the LoP, the official stated. The Congress chief, who represents Lahar seat in Bhind district, is the state Assembly’s twenty fifth LoP.

Nath will proceed as president of the Congress unit in Madhya Pradesh, the place the Assembly polls are due subsequent 12 months.
