Modi cabinet approves this scheme for SC students, four crore students will get benefit

The Modi cabinet has taken a big decision today for the education of scheduled caste students.

59,000 crore post matric scholarship scheme for SC (SC) students has been approved. More than 4 crore students will benefit from this scheme. For scholarship, 60 percent of the centers and 40 percent of the states will give.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar gave information about the decision of the cabinet. The Modi cabinet today also approved amendment in the guidelines for providing DTH services in India. The DTH license will be issued for 20 years.

The DTH sector has been brought to 100 percent FDI. Earlier, the Commerce Ministry had approved 100 percent foreign investment, but due to the guidelines of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, it was not fully implemented. Now the cabinet has cleared the way to implement it fully.

Along with this, the cabinet also approved the ordinance giving legal protection to those living in irregular colonies of Delhi.

On 31 December 2020, the term of the law related to it is ending. Now it has been extended for three years. The period has been extended till 31 December 2023.
