Maratha quota: End quick, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar tells Rajya Sabha MP Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday requested Rajya Sabha MP Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje to finish his quick in search of quota in jobs and schooling for the Maratha neighborhood.

Pawar instructed reporters the MVA authorities within the state will do all it could possibly to make sure the welfare of the Maratha neighborhood.

The Rajya Sabha MP is on a starvation strike since Saturday and has accused the state authorities of failing to satisfy assurances given to the Maratha neighborhood and the Centre of not taking away the 50 per cent cap on quota.

On Saturday night, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray chaired a gathering of the cabinet sub committee on Maratha quota and directed that the state OBC fee be arrange instantly to check the backwardness of the neighborhood.

The CM additionally requested the cabinet sub committee to make sure implementation of assorted welfare schemes for the neighborhood.
