Mangaluru: Minor suspected to have killed 12-year-old good friend over PUBG recreation picked up for questioning

The body was shifted to Wenlock District Hospital for post-mortem examination once it was identified by his parents,” the police chief additional stated.
Another officer from Ullal police station stated that the sufferer’s father went searching for him after 10 pm on Saturday after which a grievance was filed on the native police station. “The victim is said to have been winning PUBG games that he played with the accused, consistently. This led the accused to believe that he was taking the help of someone else to win,” the officer stated.
Shashikumar added that the accused met the sufferer on Saturday night time after difficult the latter to play the sport sitting face-to-face. “After the game, an argument broke out. It appears that the accused, in a moment of fury, hit the victim on the face with a stone. We believe that as he collapsed and started bleeding profusely, the accused dragged him to a corner of the ground and fled,” the commissioner stated.

An investigation is underway on the premise of the case registered at Ullal police station. “The victim’s family has confirmed that the boy was addicted to PUBG and used to play it with many friends. We are examining CCTV footage between his house and the ground to ascertain if anyone else is linked to this incident,” an officer stated.
