PUNE: A person has been arrested in Nigdi space close to right here for allegedly assaulting a girl sanitation employee and hurling casteist slurs, police stated on Wednesday.
A case beneath related sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was registered, he stated.
The 42-year-old lady works at a transport agency owned by the accused’s brother.
As per the First Information Report, on Tuesday, when she demanded her wage for 3 months from the accused, he requested her to simply accept on-line fee.
“When the woman insisted on cash payment, he asked her to demand salary from the person who had hired her and hurled abuse and casteist slurs at her,” the FIR learn.
When the lady warned him to not hurl abuse and hit him with a brush, he hit her on the face many instances.
