KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who suffered a ligament harm on her left knee whereas alighting from a helicopter final week, on Thursday underwent a minor surgical procedure as a part of the rehabilitation programme.
Banerjee underwent orthopaedic intervention on the state-run SSKM Hospital right here, a senior physician, who is part of the staff treating her, stated.
She was discharged after the surgical procedure and the CM returned residence in a wheelchair.
“She is better now. But, she will have to be on rest at home. We will take a call on the next course of treatment in a few days,” the physician instructed PTI.
