Maharashtra: AC mechanic rapes five-year-old lady in constructing raise; arrested

THANE: An air-conditioner (AC) mechanic allegedly raped a five-year-old lady contained in the raise of a residential constructing at Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra, after which he was arrested, police stated on Saturday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night at Taloja, they stated.
“The accused, 19, spotted the five-year-old girl playing in the parking area of the building when he was climbing down the stairs after some AC repair work there. He took the girl inside the lift and sexually assaulted her there before leaving the place,” senior inspector Jitendra Sonawane of Taloja police station stated.
The sufferer instantly went dwelling on the third ground and began vomiting. When her mom requested her if every thing was okay, the kid advised her concerning the incident. After that, her mom rushed downstairs, the place she discovered the accused. He was held by the safety guard of the constructing and different residents, the police official stated.
The residents then handed him over to the police, who arrested him and registered a case towards him underneath Indian Penal Code (IPC) part 376 (rape) and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he added.
On Friday, a neighborhood courtroom remanded him into judicial custody, Sonawane stated, including that investigation into the case was on.
