Maharashtra: 11 of 12 individuals killed in Nashik bus accident recognized; truck driver held

NASHIK: The 12 folks killed in collision between a personal bus and a trailer truck in Nashik metropolis of Maharashtra included 9 males and two ladies whereas one deceased is but to be recognized, civil hospital sources stated on Sunday.

They stated the 11 deceased included a 15-year-old boy and a three-year-old lady.

Police have arrested the motive force of the truck, Ramji alias Lavkush Jadhir Yadav, who fled the spot after the accident, an official stated on Sunday.

At least 12 passengers had been killed and 43 others injured after a personal bus hit a trailer truck and caught hearth in Nashik metropolis on Saturday.

Some of them had been charred, a police officer had stated, including that DNA checks shall be performed to ascertain the id of the unknown deceased.

A case was registered underneath sections 304 (A) (Causing dying by negligence ), 279 (Rash driving or using on a public approach) 336 (Act endangering life or private security of others), 337 ( Causing damage by an act which endangers human life, and many others), 338 (Causing grievous damage by an act which endangers human life,), 427 (Mischief inflicting harm to others) of the Indian Penal Code, and sections 184, 134 (A) (B) of Motor Vehicle Act.
