Madras HC order for CBI probe in opposition to EPS axed by SC

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday put aside a Madras High Court ruling ordering a CBI probe into allegations of corruption in opposition to former chief minister and AIADMK chief Edappadi Okay Palaniswami in awarding street contracts.

A bench of Chief Justice NV Ramana and Justices Krishna Murari and Hima Kohli requested the HC to determine on the grievance in opposition to Palaniswami with out being influenced by earlier observations or orders handed within the matter.
