Loudspeaker protest will get louder: Raj Thackeray

MUMBAI:  Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray maintained his adamant stand of taking part in Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers at each a part of Maharashtra until they’re switched off at mosques. The MNS chief  once more reiterated that his stand towards loudspeakers was not on non secular however on social grounds and added that the loud recitations from mosques had been resulting in noise air pollution. “Why is action being taken against our workers while nothing is being done against those flouting laws? This issue is not restricted to the morning azaan alone. If a loudspeaker is being used for namaz four-five times a day, our people will continue to play the Hanuman Chalisa at double the volume.” 

If mosques have to make use of loudspeakers, they need to stick with the decibel restrict prescribed by the Supreme Court, he added. The Maharashtra authorities had made intensive association to keep up legislation and order after Raj had threatened to play Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers every time azaan is recited from mosques. There had been stories that loudspeakers both had been switched off throughout azaan at a number of locations in Maharashtra or they had been used on low quantity.

On Wednesday, Raj thanked these clerics who didn’t use the loudspeakers for the normal prayers.
