Land grabbing case: 7 policemen amongst 31 booked in Uttar Pradesh

BHADOHI: Thirty-one individuals together with seven policemen have been booked in reference to a land-grabbing case on the instructions of a neighborhood courtroom, officers mentioned.

In his grievance, Qamaruddin alleged that when his household reached the police station to register a grievance, the policemen allegedly hurled abuses at them, the SP mentioned.

The accused policemen have been recognized as the present circle officer of Gyanpur Bhuvaneshwar Kumar Pandey (who was the then SHO of Suryava police station), sub-inspector Parshuram Yadav, constables Manish, Ashutosh, Munesh, Pradeep and Ghanshyam, he mentioned.

A case was registered on Thursday below sections of the Indian Penal Code together with 147 (punishment for rioting), 323 (punishment for voluntarily inflicting harm), 166 (public servant disobeying legislation, with intent to trigger damage to any particular person) and 120B (punishment of felony conspiracy).

The SP mentioned the matter is being investigated.
