Lalu Yadav shifted to AIIMS, New Delhi for remedy

Image Source : PTI Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav being shifted to AIIMS in New Delhi from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital after his well being deteriorated, in Ranchi.
Jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal president and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad,73, was on Saturday night shifted to New Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for remedy.

Prasad was shifted to the Capital by air ambulance via a chartered flight. He is accompanied by his spouse Rabri Devi and sons Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Yadav. Earlier an eight-member group of RIMS had referred him to AIIMS, New Delhi, for remedy.

“At the directive of the jail administration, an eight-member team was constituted by the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) to look into the health condition of Lalu Prasad. After reviewing the condition, the team has decided to shift him to AIIMS, New Delhi for better treatment,” a supply in RIMS advised IANS. The Jharkhand jail administration has additionally given its nod to shift Prasad to AIIMS.
