Kin of useless man refuse to permit put up mortem, beat up Indore hospital staffers

INDORE: Some 10 folks, together with docs, have been thrashed by a mob in Indore’s MY Hospital within the early hours of Friday throughout a dispute over put up mortem, resulting in some employees on the state-run facility stopping work for an hour, officers mentioned.

Three folks have been arrested thus far and efforts have been on to nab extra folks from the mob that numbered round 50, an official mentioned.

The incident passed off round 3 am and the state of affairs was totally underneath management, mentioned Additional Commissioner of Police Rajesh Raghuvanshi.

“A 20-year-old man named Raja was brought to the hospital in critical condition two days ago. He died late Thursday night. The kin of the man wanted to take the body without post mortem being conducted. This led to an argument, during which a mob of 50 thrashed our chief medical officer, others doctors and security guards,” MY Hospital Superintendent Dr Pramendra Thakur mentioned.
