The panchayat was convened on March 2 in Pipalshah village below Charthawal police station.
Announcing the panchayat’s choice, group chief and Kisan Sangh chief Thakur Puran Singh stated it was determined to bar ladies from sporting denims and males from sporting shorts.
He stated these garments are a part of the western tradition.

“We should wear our traditional clothes such as sarees, ‘ghagra’ and ‘salwar-kameez’,” he stated.

The khap panchayat additionally protested the Uttar Pradesh authorities’s choice to grant reservation to Scheduled Castes (SC) and backward courses within the upcoming panchayat polls.
Singh stated the panchayat expressed concern over the choice and condemned it.
