Attorney General (AG) KK Venugopal on Tuesday advised the Supreme Court that the Khalistan supporters have infiltrated the farmers protest towards the three farm legal guidelines.
A bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde and comprising Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian advised the AG that if there’s infiltration by a banned organisation, then the federal government has to substantiate it and requested him to file an affidavit by Wednesday. AG replied, “Yes, I will file an affidavit and the IB reports.”
The bench made the remarks after senior advocate PS Narasimha, representing the Consortium of Indian Farmers Association supporting the farm legal guidelines, submitted teams like “Sikhs for Justice” are concerned within the protests towards the legal guidelines. “This kind of protest can be very dangerous”, stated Narasimha.
