Israel treating small bomb blast close to its embassy in Delhi as terrorist incident: Report

Enhanced safety measures had been put in place in Delhi after a low-intensity blast close to the Israeli Embassy occurred on Friday night. No one was injured within the blast, nevertheless, the window panes of a few automobiles had been broken within the explosion. Meanwhile, the Israeli Embassy issued an announcement following the blast saying it’s treating it as a terrorist incident, ANI reported quoting Reuters.

“Israel is treating a small bomb blast near the Israeli embassy in Delhi today, which did not injure anyone, as a terrorist incident,” ANI stated quoting Reuters report.

Meanwhile, an alert has been issued in any respect airports, necessary installations and authorities buildings in view of blast reported in Delhi. Enhanced safety measures have been put in place, Central Industrial Security Force stated.

Moreover, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has additionally spoken to Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi in regards to the explosion. In a tweet, Jaishankar stated, “Spoke just now to Israeli FM @Gabi_Ashkenazi about the explosion outside the Israeli Embassy. We take this very seriously. Assured him of the fullest protection for the Embassy and Israeli diplomats. Matter is under investigation and no effort will be spared to find the culprits.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah can also be in contact with senior Delhi police officers and is consistently monitoring the state of affairs.
