Indian govt supportive of Sri Lanka, making an attempt to assist it: External Affairs Minister Jaishankar

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday stated the Indian authorities has at all times been supportive of Sri Lanka and it was “trying to help” the neighbouring nation by means of its current financial disaster and made it clear that there was “no refugee crisis right now”.

Speaking to reporters exterior the Thiruvananthapuram airport after arriving within the state capital on a three-day go to, Jaishankar stated, “We have been very supportive of Sri Lanka. We are trying to help and we are always very helpful where they are concerned.”
