India has applied for approval for Phase III clinical trials on the human body.

Hyderabad-based Doctor Reddy’s Laboratory has applied to the Indian Drug Controller General for approval of the Phase III clinical trial of the Russian Kovid-19 vaccine Sputnik-5 on the human body in India. According to information received by the Indian pharma company It has tied up with the Russian Direct Investment Fund for testing and its distribution. The company said last month that RDIF would send 10 million doses of the vaccine to Doctor Reddy’s after DCGI’s approval. A source told PTI that Doctor Reddy’s Russian-developed Kovid-19 vaccine on Sputnik-5’s human body DCGI has applied for approval for Phase III clinical trials. DCGI will do a technical evaluation of the application before approving it.
