ICMR scientists say – India Biotech’s ‘Covaxin’ can be launched by February

The global epidemic of coronavirus (including India) is being feared by Coronavirus. The whole world is looking for a safe and effective corona vaccine. Meanwhile, amidst the growing cases of coronavirus, there is great news for the people of India. India is moving fast towards making Coronavirus vaccine. According to media reports, India Biotech’s indigenous Corona vaccine ‘Covaxin’ may come in February. Significantly, the government has already made it clear that this vaccine will be given free of cost to the people of the country.

According to government scientists, in February 2021, the country may get covaxin. This vaccine will be completely indigenous. A senior government scientist told the news agency Reuters that the Indian government-backed Kovid-19 vaccine could be introduced to people in February.

Bharat Biotech, along with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), is developing covaxine. It was earlier planned to be launched in the second quarter of next year. Rajni Kant, a member of the Coronavirus Task Force and ICMR scientist said, “All the research so far has shown that the vaccine is safe and effective.” The vaccine is expected to be available by early February or March next year.
