Heavy rains: Lucknow colleges, greater academic establishments to stay closed on Tuesday

LUCKNOW: With heavy rains lashing a number of components of Uttar Pradesh, the Lucknow district administration has declared vacation for all colleges and better academic establishments on Tuesday.

An announcement issued by District Magistrate of Lucknow Suryapal Gangwar stated that colleges will stay closed on Tuesday.

Citing a authorities order, the DM stated all greater academic establishments may even stay closed on Tuesday.

A state authorities official stated greater academic establishments will stay closed within the districts the place the authorities have declared vacation in view of heavy rains.

Special Secretary, Higher Education Department, Manoj Kumar has stated in an order despatched to the Director of Higher Education and all of the regional greater schooling officers that in view of the potential for heavy rains within the state, District Magistrates of many districts have declared holidays in academic establishments and such orders issued by the district magistrates would even be relevant to greater academic establishments.

Earlier on Sunday, the district authorities in Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad, Agra, Meerut, Aligarh, Mathura, Kanpur, Etah, Mainpuri and Firozabad had ordered closure of colleges on Monday.

Several components of Uttar Pradesh continued to obtain heavy rains on Monday.
