Have ‘zero tolerance’ in the direction of distribution of any sort of inducement: Chief Election Commissioner

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission on Friday mentioned it has “zero tolerance” in the direction of distribution of inducement to voters within the Himachal Pradesh polls and our bodies together with the GST will make sure that freebies usually are not given out to affect voters.

Responding to questions on makes an attempt to induce voters by distributing freebies, the CEC mentioned the ballot panel has “zero tolerance” in the direction of distribution of any sort of inducement and it has energised the whole equipment.

“GST will look at all the e-ways and goods which are going to the poll-bound states, even the nearby states. They have mapped all the godowns, warehouses, sarees, mixers, all this so that nothing is used (as an inducement),” he mentioned.
