Haryana RS polls: BJP’s Krishan Panwar, Independent candidate win, Congress’ Ajay Maken loses

CHANDIGARH The BJP’s Krishan Lal Panwar and Independent candidate Kartikeya Sharma, backed by the saffron celebration and its ally JJP, have received the 2 Rajya Sabha seats from Haryana, officers stated early Saturday, after the counting of votes which was delayed by hours over allegation of violation of guidelines. Senior Congress chief Ajay Maken didn’t get sufficient votes.

According to a senior Election Commission official right here, Panwar bought 36 votes, whereas Sharma bought 23 first desire votes and 6 transferred from the BJP, taking his tally to 29. 89 of a complete of 90 MLAs in Haryana had solid their votes whereas Independent MLA Balraj Kundu had abstained from voting.
