Gurugram: Stopped from smoking inside retailer, man opens fireplace at employee

GURUGRAM: A employee at a comfort retailer right here had a slender escape after he was shot at by an unidentified man for not permitting him to smoke inside the shop in Gurugram, the police mentioned.

The incident befell within the early hours of Friday at a 24-hour comfort retailer situated in Sector 22, Palam Vihar.

The employee has been recognized as Ashish, a retailer affiliate.

According to the police, the accused with a cigarette in his hand entered the shop in Sector 22 and when the safety guard requested him to not smoke inside, he scolded and abused the employees.

Security Manager Rupinder Singh advised the police the person demanded that somebody from the shop accompany him to position the bought items in his car, which was parked outdoors the shop.

During this, the person ultimately fired his pistol at Ashish, who reportedly managed to narrowly escape. The man claimed that the employees on the retailer insulted him by limiting him from smoking and rode away from the spot in his car, in accordance with the criticism.

“The incident was captured in the CCTVs installed at the store and efforts are on to identify the suspect with the help of the vehicle’s registration number,” a police officer mentioned.

A case has been registered below Section 307 (try and homicide) of the Indian Penal Code on the Palam Vihar police station, the police mentioned.
