The Haryana authorities has made the household identification card obligatory to avail the companies of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG). According to MCG officers, the authorities are linking authorities schemes and companies with the household ID card (parivar pehchan patra) as residents must enroll for it to avail the companies.

“Under the government-issued notification, it has been made necessary to have a family ID to receive services provided by urban local bodies,” stated MCG commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh.

“We have urged multiple councillors to spread awareness and hold camps in their concern wards so residents can get these cards,” he added.

The Commissioner stated that the company will take few days for software program to get aligned to make the ID compulsary.

The software for companies like Fire clearance certificates, business license, software for brand new connection of water / sewer, approval of constructing plan, approval of fireside plan, business licences, approval of structural modifications, road merchandising, meat licence, canine registration and reserving group middle would require household ID playing cards.
