Gujarat authorities transfers 17 IPS officers forward of elections

AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat authorities on Monday transferred 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and allotted postings to 2 different senior cops ready for brand new assignments, a top-level reshuffle carried out forward of Assembly elections due within the subsequent few months.

The state house division transferred 15 IPS officers and promoted officer Neeraj Badgujar, who was ready for a brand new posting, and appointed him Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) (sector-1), Ahmedabad metropolis, as per a notification.

Manoj Ninama, one other officer ready for a brand new task, was appointed ACP (crime and site visitors), Vadodara metropolis, it mentioned.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) (Surat vary) Rajkumar Pandian was transferred to Ahmedabad as ADGP (Railways), mentioned the notification.

He may even maintain the extra cost of Executive Director of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL), a state-run energy firm, in Vadodara.

IPS officer Anupamsinh Gehlot earlier held the extra cost at GUVNL.

Among different adjustments, Special Commissioner of Police of Rajkit Khursheed Ahmed was transferred as ADGP (planning and modernisation) and posted at Gandhinagar.

As per the notification, Inspector General of Police (IGP) (Armed items), Gandhinagar, Piyush Patel was transferred as IGP (Surat vary).

IGP (Bhavnagar vary) Ashok Yadav was transferred as IGP (Rajkot vary) and IGP (Rajkot vary) Sandeep SIngh was transferred as IGP (Vadodara vary).

Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP) (Adminstration), Ahmedabad metropolis, Ajay Chaudhary was transferred and named JCP (particular department), Ahmedabad metropolis.

JCP (site visitors), Ahmedabad metropolis MA Chavada will now be the IGP of Junagadh vary.

The house division named JCP (sector-2), Ahmedabad metropolis, Gautam Parmar as the brand new IGP of Bhavnagar vary.

IGP (Gandhinagar vary) DH Parmar was transferred and posted as JCP (site visitors), Surat metropolis.

DIG (Panchmahal vary) MS Bharada was transferred as ACP (sector-2) Ahmedabad, whereas ACP (crime and site visitors), Vadodara, Chirag Koradia, will take over as the brand new DIG of Panchmahal vary.

DIGP (Railways), Ahmedabad, AG Chauhan was transferred as ACP (site visitors), Ahmedabad, whereas ACP (sector-1), Ahmedabad, RV Asari was named the brand new DIG (intelligence-2) at Gandhinagar.

DIGP (CID crime), Saurabh Tolumbia was transferred and posted as ACP (admin, site visitors and crime) of Rajkot metropolis, in line with the notification.
