Govt items up three-member panel to probe Manipur violence

NEW DELHI: The Centre on Sunday prepare a Commission of Inquiry, headed by the earlier chief justice of the Gauhati High Court Ajai Lamba, to probe the present sequence of violence in Manipur that claimed larger than 80 lives.

According to a notification issued by the Union Home Ministry, the payment will make an inquiry with respect to the causes and unfold of the violence and riots specializing in members of varied communities, which happened in Manipur on May 3 and thereafter.
