Govt dedicated to incorporating Karnataka’s Marathi-speaking areas into Maharashtra: Uddhav Thackeray

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar on Sunday stated the federal government was dedicated to incorporating Marathi-speaking areas of Karnataka into Maharashtra.
Thackeray stated bringing Karnataka occupied Marathi-speaking and cultural areas to Maharashtra could be a “true tribute” to the these martyred within the boundary battle in 1956. “We are united and committed to it,” he stated providing tributes to those that died within the battle.

Maharashtra claims areas comparable to Belgaum, Karwar and Nippani, that are a part of Karnataka. Pawar additionally stated preventing with dedication to carry the “last Marathi village” occupied by the Karnataka into Maharashtra would be the “true tribute”.
The linguisitic boundary dispute has been pending within the Supreme Court.
