Giridhar Aramane takes cost as new defence secretary

NEW DELHI: Seasoned bureaucrat Giridhar Aramane on Tuesday assumed cost as the brand new defence secretary at a time the federal government has been specializing in modernising the three companies.

Aramane, a 1988-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, was serving as secretary of the ministry of highway transport and highways previous to his new project.
