Ghaziabad: Swimming pool proprietor booked for letting residents take a dip, police say violated curfew guidelines

The proprietor of a swimming pool in Ghaziabad’s Loni was booked for permitting residents to take a dip on Friday night. With Covid curfew nonetheless in place, locals violated lockdown guidelines and gathered on the pool in massive numbers. The pool proprietor, Sagar Dhama, was booked beneath IPC part 188 (disobedience of presidency order) and related sections of the Epidemic Act in an FIR filed at Loni Border station.

Videos of the raid emerged on social media through which dozens of males could be seen speeding from the pool as police entered the compound. Some of the locals additionally dived into the swimming pool in an try to flee.
