Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Scheme of Punjab: 53 chosen throughout ‘high-end’ employment drive in Hoshiarpur, most with good-looking pay packages

THE DISTRICT administration of Hoshiarpur, in collaboration with the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE), on Thursday, organised a day-long ‘high-end’ Rozgar Mela (Employment Fair) underneath the much-touted ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ scheme of the Punjab authorities for aspirants within the banking and monetary sectors.
At least 53 taking part candidates have been employed on the spot, whereas 16 extra have been shortlisted towards a complete of 110 vacancies that have been on supply.

We wanted to just let people know through such job fairs that the administration is determined to provide high-end jobs also to suitably qualified youths,” stated Aditya Rana and Mangesh Sood, profession councillors in DBEE.
“There are general feelings among the people that mostly sale-related jobs are provided to the aspirants in such job fairs, instead of proper office jobs. Today’s employment fair was held just to dispel that notion. All the aspirants who were hired today will have proper office jobs,” stated District Employment officer, Gurmail Singh.
One of the aspirants, Kamandeep Singh, who was employed in HDFC Bank as a relationship supervisor with an annual bundle of round Rs 6 lakh, stated that the job honest was an awesome expertise as every thing was nicely organised for the comfort of candidates by the administration.

“I was working at a bank after doing an MA in Political Science. On the basis of my banking experience there, I got a good package here,” he stated.
Baljit Kaur, who was supplied jobs by 4 firms, has an MBA (Marketing) from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. “This job fair was a big opportunity for candidates. It also proved that if you are good in your respective field, then there is always a handsome employment opportunity waiting for you,” stated Kaur, including that such job festivals should be organised throughout each district of the state in order that extra unemployed youths obtained the chance to work for giant firms.
