Gaana fires its worker Tanzila Anis over abhorrent tweet on Rinku Sharma homicide

New Delhi: Soon after the brutal homicide of Bajrang Dal activist Rinku Sharma in Delhi’s Mangolpuri space, Tanzila Anis, an worker of Gaana posted an abhorrent tweet.
Gaana, the music streaming platform, has now sacked its worker Tanzila Anis, a day after her disgusting touch upon social media.
Tanzila Anas had tweeted, “Bajrang Dal Activist. That’s it, that’s the tweet.”

The tweet was completely in dangerous style and sought to justify the homicide of youth from majority neighborhood.
In a press release posted on social media, Gaana stated, “With regards to the social media posts by a recently joined employee of Gaana, these posts do not represent our values. She is no longer employed by the company.” The platform additionally stated that it “respects all religions and communities of India.”
