NEW DELHI: The CBI on Wednesday launched a crackdown on alleged corruption within the Food Corporation of India, conducting searches at 50 areas in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi after arresting a DGM-ranked officer, officers stated.

The function of officers from technical assistants to govt administrators within the FCI are underneath the company’s scanner, they stated.

The searches have been began after the arrest of a deputy common supervisor (DGM) within the FCI whereas taking a bribe of Rs 50,000, they stated.

They stated the operation is unfold throughout a number of cities in Punjab, Haryana and two areas in Delhi.
