Fire in Thane residential constructing, 28 energy meters gutted

A fireplace broke out in an electrical energy meter field room of a residential constructing right here in Maharashtra, destroying 28 energy meters, a civic official stated on Sunday. The blaze erupted round 11.15 pm on Saturday within the energy meter room situated on the bottom flooring of the S P Society in Kalwa space, Thane Municipal Corporation’s Regional Disaster Management Cell chief Santosh Kadam stated.
No casualty was reported, he stated.
Firemen, electrical energy and police personnel rushed to the spot and the blaze was doused inside an hour, he stated.
After the fireplace broke out, round 35 residents of the constructing rushed to its terrace and received caught there.

They have been later rescued by hearth personnel, Kadam stated.
“No one was injured in the fire. A total of 28 power meters were completely gutted in the blaze. A probe is on to ascertain the cause of the fire,” the official stated.
The energy provide to the constructing was affected for a few hours after the incident, he added.
