Fire breaks out at slum in Mumbai; two injured

MUMBAI: Two people had been injured after a fireplace broke out at a slum in Bandra area of Mumbai early Wednesday morning, civic officers talked about.

There was no report of any casualty throughout the blaze which erupted at 4.40 am throughout the slum located in Nargis Dutt Nagar in Bandra (West), a civic official talked about.

The official talked about 10 to 12 ground and ground-plus-one flooring hutments had been damaged throughout the fire, which was confined to electrical wiring and installations, household articles, clothes, furnishings and tarpaulin.

At least eight fire engines, seven water tankers and a number of other different totally different fire stopping gear had been rushed to the spot and the blaze was doused by 8 am, he talked about. Two people, aged 19 and 30, suffered from accidents throughout the fire.

They had been admitted to the civic-run Bhabha Hospital in Bandra and their scenario was safe, the official talked about.

The cause for the fireside was not however acknowledged, he added.
