NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police have eliminated additional barricades exterior the UK High Commission right here however the safety stays intact, officers stated on Wednesday, a transfer that comes days after the tricolour on the Indian High Commission in London was pulled down by Khalistani activists.
“The security arrangements outside the British High Commission here are intact. However, barricades placed on the pathway towards the Commission that created hurdles for commutation have been removed,” a senior police officer advised PTI.
India on Sunday night time summoned the British Deputy High Commissioner and demanded a proof over the entire “absence of security” after movies of knocking down of the Indian flag on the Indian mission in London throughout a protest by pro-Khalistan parts emerged on social media.
Top British officers have stated that the UK authorities will take the safety of the Indian High Commission “seriously”, as they condemned as “disgraceful” and “completely unacceptable” the vandalism on the Indian mission by a gaggle of protesters waving separatist Khalistani flags.
