Ex-Union minister Sharad Yadav cremated in MP village

BHOPAL: Veteran socialist chief and former Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav was cremated with full state honours on Saturday at his ancestral village in Madhya Pradesh’s Narmadapuram district.

The mortal stays of the previous Union minister have been consigned to flames by his son Shantanu Bundela and daughter Subhasini in his ancestral village Ankhmau at round 5 pm.

Yadav died on Thursday at a non-public hospital in Gurugram on the age of 75.

Earlier within the day, Yadav’s physique reached Bhopal from Delhi in a chartered airplane and was obtained by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Congress chief Digvijaya Singh, and others.

The mortal stays have been taken to Ankhmau by highway.
