Encounter breaks out in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian

SRINAGAR: A gunbattle broke out between militants and safety forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday, police stated.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Shopian’s Heripora village following details about the presence of militants there, a police official stated.

The search operation become an encounter which was occurring until reviews final got here in, the official added.

There have been no reviews of any casualties to this point.
