It has been 10 months since his coup launched down the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) authorities, and Mah­arashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde finds himself combating a battle on two fronts. Apart from setting up his celebration ground-up to counter the Thackeray faction of the Shiv Sena, Shinde ought to moreover maintain the rising belligerence of his senior ally, the BJP.
