ED attaches belongings of agency owned by brother-in-law of Maharashtra CM

NEW DELHI: The ED on Tuesday mentioned it has hooked up belongings price Rs 6.45 crore of an organization owned by the brother-in-law of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in reference to a cash laundering investigation.

In an announcement, the Enforcement Directorate mentioned it has issued a provisional order below the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to connect 11 residential flats in Neelambari undertaking, positioned in Thane close to Mumbai, of Shree Saibaba Grihanirmiti Private Limited.

Shridhar Madhav Patankar, the brother of Thackeray’s spouse Rashmi, “owns and controls” Shree Saibaba Grihanirmiti Private Limited, it mentioned.

The company alleged funds that have been allegedly siphoned off in a cash laundering case being investigated towards an organization named Pushpak Bullion have been “parked” in the actual property initiatives of Shree Saibaba Grihanirmiti Pvt.Ltd.
