ED arrests TMC youth chief in academics recruitment rip-off

KOLKATA: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday arrested Trinamool Congress youth chief Kuntal Ghosh for his alleged involvement in academics recruitment rip-off, a senior official mentioned.

Ghosh, was first detained on Saturday morning by ED sleuths following in a single day search operations at his Chinar Park condominium after which arrested, he mentioned.

“We have arrested Kuntal Ghosh this morning for not cooperating with our officers investigating his involvement in illegal appointments in teachers recruitment scam. e will produce him at a city court today,” the officer advised PTI.

Several paperwork and a diary have been additionally seized from Ghosh’s twin flats in the course of the search operations by the ED which began on Friday morning, he added.

Incidentally, Ghosh has additionally been summoned by CBI officers for his alleged position in the identical rip-off.
