Digital skilling programme launched for one crore college students from Class 7 to commencement

NEW DELHI: The Centre on Monday launched a digital skilling programme for one crore college students from Class 7 to commencement with the concentrate on skilling, reskilling and upskilling them through internships, apprenticeships and employment in rising applied sciences.

Launching the programme, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan mentioned that skilling ought to be a mass motion. “Government functions as a facilitator in creating a workforce for the future. It is the right time to work with a collaborative approach between industry, academia and policymakers,” he mentioned.

Calling upon tech corporations to synergise know-how with all Indian languages, the minister mentioned India has to cater to the workforce requirement of the world, and know-how will allow us to take action. 

Over 100 know-how, company and manufacturing corporations have already come on board the platform to supply free-of-cost rising know-how certifications.

The program is to attach the acceptable candidates with talent trainers and numerous programs offering experience on rising applied sciences. It consists of synthetic intelligence, blockchain, huge knowledge, knowledge analytics, cyber safety, and cloud computing.

Pradhan mentioned it’s the first-ever collaboration on a nationwide scale between the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Skill and affiliated National Skill Development Corporation, Skill India applications (National Educational Alliance for Technology) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
